General Description

The Test Stand provides three (3) separate systems for testing pneumatic components with variable pressure from 0-5000 PSI. Each pressure system has it own regulator, gauges, and outlets, together with the necessary valves and plumbing. The test system pressures are independently variable within their ranges.

There is a 0-5000 PSIG system, 0-3000 PSIG system and 0-300 PSIG system. The 300 PSIG system includes a supplemental gauge for accurate indication of 0-60 PSIG pressure.

An electric timer and four separate flowmeters are provided. All test systems are supplied from a common pressure supply system. The pressure supply system is supplied from a standard 2400 PSIG cylinder of nitrogen which is included as part of the test stand. The bottled nitrogen pressure may be used directly, or it can be compressed to 5000 PSIG. Vapor indicators and filters are provided to ensure a constant supply of clean, dry gas. The unit requires connection to standard shop air as well to draining.

Constructed of steel panels mounted on structure steel tubular members, channels have been provided to allow handling of the stand with a forklift.

A steel work table is provided which includes a sink to catch any spillage from the test item. The test stand may be used for low air flow tests and destructive and proof testing. A steel cabinet and doors surround the stainless steel sink, where the high pressure testing is performed. All supply and return ports exit into the test chamber. The test stand has four pressures gauges and four air flowmeters in the instruments panel for test purposes.
